Edit: To add to my reaction, it’s really shameful how difficult it is to rally behind anything these days in the IT world. Every time a business is mentioned, it seems everyone and their mother is some kind of fascist ass hole or a greedy corporate billionaire looking for any means to make an extra buck, including breaking the law and getting people assassinated.
And the vast majority of the time, it’s a man. I honestly have a difficult time to find any man to look up to as a good example these days. There are very few.
On the other hand, women and LGBTQ people have been really inspiring. I’ve found personal heroes among them.
