Here’s what i post whenever it comes up, its an honestly an impressive feat of western propaganda that so many have seen that single frame but not the whole video:

Full tankman video where the tankers go to lengths to avoid harming him, he’s able to climb on the tank and then walk away with no repercussions:

      https://youtu.be/FaojdRThXbY

Just a few examples(out of many) of US state forces running over protestors in the last couple of years:

Kent State actually was what they pretend Tiananmen Square was, but most USians are not ready for that conversation.

After climbing on the tank a few times, and talking with the tank commander, he was eventually lead away by some other onlookers completely unharmed.

US cops have killed ~600 people so far this year.

Also, if I recall correctly, the incident occurred when the tanks were leaving and he was actually upset about the riots.

Climbed up the tank. Said hi to the tank operator. Climbed down. Got escorted out by student protesters.

      kinda goofy tbh

Standoff, lil’ dance, mans climbs on the tank then gets off. The tankers open some hatches and there’s some sort of conversation, then some people from the (presumed, offscreen) crowd run in and move him away.

Pretty obvious that the civilians are surprisingly unafraid of the war machines and the soldiers, and conversely the soldiers aren’t acting afraid of the crowd

I’ll give a hint because it might be a harder question to some people than one would think.

This is like a study in how to do clean, readable, color coded annotation. Communicates data yet does not panic or overwhelm the eye, colors are pleasing together…

      Oh god, not the poor:

      • bicycles

      • like 5 people who are clearly alive and hunkering down on the ground with their heads raised to look around

      • zero blood despite stories of “blood everywhere, being hosed into the gutters”

“NSFL” lol dude this picture contains less violence than your average bar fight

How the fuck you think that all the shit on the ground is dead people, without any sign of blood or debri from explosions/shooting/tanks running over shit. Is a fucking parking lot with tons of empty bicycles on the ground, even the people on top of the bicycles are not running for their life. Holy fucking shit.

Ever wonder why you never see the high resolution/color original version of this photo?

Because everything pointed out in the annotated version in the replies to this is immediately obvious, and because you can see the burned out bus with dead soldiers’ bodies hanging from it, which supports the Chinese narrative that soldiers were burned alive and makes the US/British narrative that the soldiers launched an unprovoked attack on a peaceful protest seem silly.

a black and white picture of a bunch of living people and broken bikes

I’ve come to the conclusion that you must be a bicycle. I am very sorry for the trauma this picture has caused by showing your fallen comrades
