You have that 100% wrong. Wealthy Viennese families were complaining that their adolescent daughters were making up stories about being molested by their fathers and uncles. Freud built an entire field around this idea of the id and subconscious desires rather than believe in child abuse. This book is written by a former Director of the Freud archives and explains the issue pretty well.
