    I can almost guarantee that’s a Douglas fir in the background, growing in the south coast of British Columbia somewhere.

    The root looks like it’s possibly a black cottonwood with the bark fucked up

    The mountains are the coast range.

    Source, I very likely live in the zone the photo was taken.

          I don’t think that’s the ocean man, lol. It’s at least a small inlet or something. And where are there mountains that tall visible from the ocean shore?

              Okay cool. But the water in the photo looks like a lake, not ocean, maybe a bay or something protected by a peninsula?

                The entire coast of bc looks like this for hundreds of kms. It’s all very fjord like. If I was gonna pull a random place outta my ass, I’d guess the desolation sound area. Google image search will show you lots of similar looking country.

                You’re right the water doesn’t look super oceany, but the wet rocks in the back make me think it’s tidal.

                Lol, now I want to find that exact place in Google earth. But I don’t think I have the time.
