Right? As far as they’re concerned it’s a feature not a bug.
If big tech corporations (the richest companies on Earth, by far, by the way) value these works enough to use them as part of their AI training datasets, then maybe, just maybe, they should value the creators enough to pay them what they are owed for the rights to use the data.

It’s almost as if it’s they’re not laid out for the artists’ and consumers’ benefit. The only positive I can see from this is to demonstrate that a lot of claims of monetary harm are bogus.
