It’s time for the seasonal OP/ED roundup! I want to hear about your favorite OPs and EDs for the season (alternatively, your least favorites!). If you are looking for a collection of them all for this season, you can find almost all of them at the link below:

Just a note that you can absolutely use this thread like you would any other general discussion thread. So, feel free to post questions/comments/recommendations like any other week.

As always, remember to be mindful of spoilers. If you want to know more about how to handle spoilers in this community, check the guide here (also linked in the sidebar).

I want to hear about your favorite OPs and EDs for the season

I doubt it’s going into my music library but with such weak competition (I’m not watching much seasonals at the moment), my favourite of this season is Nan Nan Desuka. It is the ending theme of My Ribdiculous Reincarnation and it is sufficiently catchy for me to give it a few listens.

    Previous Season

I continued with Made in Abyss last week, completing season 2. I enjoyed it more than season 1, though it’s really due to season 1’s slower start and not because of any improvement in the story / storytelling / etc in season 2.

Perhaps it’s too soon to make a joke about it, but I must say that Made in Abyss gave me a glimpse

    political

into the life of the Epstein gang.

I was watching little girls (and that one little boy from time to time) suffering over and over in this anime. Maybe it’s made for people with excessive cute aggression?

Now that I know the trend in this anime, I bet there’s one big conspiracy regarding the abyss itself. To be specific, regarding the force field,

some wild guesses on my end

I bet it’s artificial generated and the method probably involved quite some grotesque human sacrifice. Maybe they chop little girls up and use their blood as fuel to generate the force field?

As for why they do it: I’m guessing the force field is meant to keep something trapped at the bottom of the abyss. Knowing Riko, she’s going to free the captive and bring about massive destruction.

Also, Reg probably was a human boy at some point, but got turned into a robot.

Not sure how Riko’s mother would tie into all these though.

Anyway, it’s a great watch; looking forward to the next movie now.
