    Tyres contain toxic materials though. Straw bales and cob are better.

    When I moved my family from Maryland to my home state of New Mexico we were going to build a house from tires as well. Sadly that never happened.

    Very neat they did this. But I would not have used cans, aluminum is so recyclable.

      Earthships are neat, but there is a lot of hand waving about what’s gonna happen in the future with the buried tires and shit.

    I live about 2 hours east of Pomonal. Our house is on a hillside and one of my biggest worries is erosion, I already see how much is affected the slab of my garden shed and similar. I’ve done a lot to protect my house stilts and redirect water away.

    I wonder how easy it is to protect a house partially built of earth from erosion issues.
