I‘ve not related to something this much in a long time. I‘ve been treated as a traitor for this so often all over my life. I can’t believe that someone actually has a theory about this that is not esoteric in some way.

    This is why I said to a DEI person at work who was annoyed by my refusal to self-identify: “my identity is not yours to construct, and I will not be labelled for your convenience.”

      Thats interesting! I have never heard of DEI before but google says it’s supposed to be an improvement (which it probably isnt?).

      What’s the idea behind you identifying yourself? I assume adhere to some arbitrary models of pathology?

        Big US corporations want to be able to prove (for liability and propaganda purposes) they aren’t just hiring white cisgender heterosexual neurotypical Protestants. They also want to be able to prove that their senior management isn’t just cishet WASPs. I’m not getting paid enough to care about these issues, and it makes no difference to me whether my boss is male or female, black or white, straight or queer. Anybody who holds power over me is my enemy.
