You know, the same way one might forget to eat food. I keep a bottle of migraine zappers for this exact occasion when I wake up in the middle of the night with my head exploding and I’m like “oh. right. I’m dependant on a substance. nice fumble, dweeb”


Not long ago I was feeling kinda out of whack and tried going a few days without coffee to see if that helps.
It didn’t, but I was surprised how easy it was to just stop drinking it. Didn’t notice any withdrawal symptoms.
no symptom cold turkey, eh? that’s petty good. I get headaches the first day and then afterward it’s remembering that I like coffee.
Afterwards I definitely did want to drink coffee (so I did and never stopped), but during the break I kinda forgot coffee was a thing. Still felt like shit, but not any more than with coffee.
