He probably didn’t want to work. The old Bethesda uses the same old engine from 30 years ago, and only releases the same have every year.

You do realize that they significantly modified that engine between each title. It’s not literally the same version as 30 years ago…
Bethesda also notoriously has years and a franchise swap in between each game.
And the bugs to prove they take years to figure anything out.
