I was always a night owl. My best work and my thoughts are more clear at night. So what I did was I started working nights remotely in a different country.
The trick to enjoyable work isn’t finding something you enjoy, it’s finding something you get lost in. Being mentally aware helps greatly with this. Makes it so that I don’t feel exhausted at the end of a work day.
yup! one of our neighbors did it during the day, twice a week. i think. maybe thrice. just enough to get flight benefits. which was the only reason anyone did it. there were better jobs.

Best decision ever.
That feels backwards to me. I’d rather my best hours be when I’m not working
I rather enjoy my work. My career exploded after I switched to nights and WFH. Zero office drama or distractions.

as one of the people who pioneered remote work back in the 90s, you’re welcome
Thanks to the internet and COVID, I guess.
we were mailing floppies and zip drives back and forth in the 90s. internet was too slow.
Nice. I think the only work from home I could remember back then was telemarketing.
Also you could answer phones for the airlines. Reverse telemarketing
Oh true! Nice!
