Pretty stupid move on Bethesda’s part, since they’re well aware of how mods are the only reason their ancient games still get so much attention. Hell, if it wasn’t for the Unofficial Patches, many of their games would be unplayable.
It’s a particularly weird decision taking into account the lots of aspects of the game seem to only be there as hooks for modding, or even as examples to be expanded. So it seems they designed an entire game under the idea that it would be a sandbox for modders and then forgot to create any tools for it.
With the trend of how long after release the kit came for previous games, I wouldn’t expect Starfield’s to be released until a whole year has gone by. The last one took 6 months. Before that it was only 3 months later. It’s like they’re doubling each time.

They promised a updated creation kit, so our dedicated modders can continue fixing bugs and making nakkee mods of Sergeant Yumi.
They were up front about the CK not releasing until 2024. What else is there to say?
