I am personally more for up-cycling old PC parts and servers, but I must admit this looks very nice.
2.5 Seems kinds overkill… until you take into account that in the next few years you’ll likely get a pc that has a similar port, then think of how fast you’ll be able to load up those HDD’s…
I have not, though I’m not expecting to need any serious amounts of data storage. I’d rather focus on availability and redundancy over raw storage so smaller and cheaper SAS drives would be ideal for my plans. Thanks for linking though!
