Wahabbists are largely hated in the Muslim world by both sunnis and shia once you get out of SA, UAE & Turkey. The idea of Wahabbism wasn’t what it is now.
A lot of bad things that happened in the last 40 years could easily be linked to them.
On top of my head:
Sudan starvation
Yemen starvation
The black decade/terrorism in Algeria
Terrorism in Europe, US & Russia
Terrorism in Syria (Yazidis mass rape of under age girls, slaughter by HTS/ISIS)
Terrrorism in large parts of Sahel region of Africa (with mass rape & mass slaughter)

My brain hurst when I read that HTS members admitting they are receiving large support from the US. Or one of the Baghdadi wives heading home in the UK after he got killed.
