I don’t personally see the point of getting a diagnosis. I’d still have ADHD even after the diagnosis and the idea of starting to medicate it is not something I’m too thrilled about.
I don’t know how old you are but I’m guessing you’re old enough to have adapted to an unmedicated life with ADHD (assuming you actually have it). Getting an official diagnosis would not necessarily be a path to medication but rather useful information to have to help you deal with it more effectively on your own.
Damn this is so fucking true. I am not one for self-diagnosis but I’m appalled by how many memes from this community I relate to on a cellular level.
