I appreciate the hard work, but just stating an opinion that a thing like this makes too much assumptions about the whole stack, it would be hard to scale and change, in other words: not modular enough to be worth a library. Like no way lichess.org or whatever would use this, considering the complexity and lots of custom logic they have

I’m not even the author, but I looked at it, and it does look quite flexible.
It’s also not like it needs to be able to handle every case conceivable to be useful.
If you don’t have something nice or constructive to say, you should keep your opinion to yourself.
