Most local news stations are owned by media conglomerates, most newspapers too. If anyone ‘owns’ them in any other sense, it’s through financially motivated means.

Receiving government funds isn’t the same as being a state owned media outlet.

Empire media machine? The source is a government run news outlet. That’s the definition of empire media machine.

Stay critical of the media. I’m just saying actual government ran media doesn’t hold much value.

I have no problem criticizing the west or the US but can we stop short of pushing state news?

The children aren’t the problem. Fix (or preferably knock down) corporate and authoritarian structures and we can avoid destroying the environment and committing atrocities against youth.
