I have two cats. One is deaf. The one who can hear will politely present herself when she hears me open a can of tuna. After a few more minutes, the deaf cat will wake up from being dead asleep (the sleep of a deaf cat is on another level) and follow her nose to the kitchen. It always impresses me.

I’ll never forget how much my cat would start screaming at me every time I opened up some braunschweiger.

It didn’t have much of a sound but the moment he got wiff of what I was doing you could here him screaming before he made it into the room.

Mine are the same way but with lunch meat. I will never be able to make a sandwich in peace. Trying to be inconspicuous is impossible when they have noses that can smell my every action.
