I just got this email from Sony. My kids use their profiles offline (meaning they don’t even have a playstation account) on their PS4, and use my games. And now they want to allow kids to link their other accounts (my kids only have a SimpleX user to chat with their family, LOL).
The sad thing is that a lot of parents will go: “Nice, they can now have it all in one place!”

Enshitification at its finest. Maybe built a small form factor with games from GOG
They play mostly on their Linux PCs, but they like to play Horizon on the Playstation, that and Sack Boy.
At the end of the day, Sony is just one more corp trying to get away with mining us all.
Never forget the several high profile hacks Sony has been the victim of and all the personal data they have had stolen.
If anyone creates accounts for this BS at least use fake information. Write the fake info down in case you need it in the future. But they have no way to know it’s fake.
They can fuck right off with their integration; preferably into the nearest star.
All our account names are some variation of fuck off sony, with email addresses to match, which are ruled to go straight into the trash.
