I’ve been looking around for a solution on why GIFs from Gboard are failing to be added on posts from the phone. Unfortunately I’ve only found old entries on GitHub and web searches with no answer.
Just wanted to check in with the community here to see if anyone else ran into this problem and might have a answer.
I’ve tested this with the latest versions of Mastodon’s official android app and Tusky’s from a Pixel 6 phone with the same error. Server is on v4.1.2

Don’t have Android to test on, but 3rd party app (Ivory) posts a gif fine to my single user instance. 🤔
On iOS, the keyboard copies the gif and you have to paste it into the input field. Does android work the same way?
