so we finally solved https://xkcd.com/949/ I guess?
ok but that is a very very very very very bad name for a file sharing system
CheezyPizza is an open source, browser-based file transfer app that uses WebRTC to transfer files directly between two browsers.
…
It is actually a fork of FilePizza, which is a pretty solid tool but has its limitations. Like large files would fail, and there is no way to pause or resume a transfer if something goes wrong.

Okay, I now understand the chain of events that led to this name. But also…don’t. Don’t name it that.
I’m not saying the name is great but I’ve seen multiple comments about the name being bad but…
Cheezypizza may not be the Mona Lisa of names, but what is so bad about it?
Look up “cheese pizza” on Urban Dictionary, a spurious usage that has become known for being at the center of the PizzaGate conspiracy nonsense, with a smaller later resurgence in Epstein Files conspiracy theories.
If this were, like, a restaurant review app, I’d consider it kind of a corny name but not really bat an eye. But for an app meant to share files directly between people without an intermediary… Don’t name it CheezyPizza.
“CheezyPizza” is the name.
And yes, please don’t name anything that.💀

It’s FOSS, you could check for yourself instead of making baseless accusations.

Kind of similar to https://send.vis.ee/ which was forked from Firefox Send, though the public instance is limited to 2.5 GiB transfers.
Welp, I came here to say I use to use send but now I’m on pingvin. Found a link quickly for you and it has been archived. Guess I’m going back to send.
There’s also https://web.localsend.org
The problem with that type is that the other user needs to be at their device at the same time.
With send/pingvin I have a public instance that allows 100GB for 14 days. I’ll just use that when I want to send or receive a file with someone. So much easier and I can just send the link vs try and schedule a time.
