The craziest thing is monocropping in developing countries without mechanical harvesting. You’re already using human labour, why sacrifice your yield by growing a single, automation-friendly crop?
Industrial scale permaculture is the solution.
Much to my friends disdain, do I tend to rant about permaculture if I ever managed to have the money or land to try it.
You can have a setup with a fish tank and some pots in your home.
Unfortunately I have a cat and 0 windows pointing towards the sun, so plants don’t grow well in my house. The cat has eaten every plant I’ve put inside except 2 cactus
