A team of scientists from Ohio University, Argonne National Laboratory, and others, led by OHIO professor Saw Wai Hla, have taken the world’s first X-ray SIGNAL of just one atom.

    Actually this work is even more impressive the the headline suggests. Ist a new kind of microscopy by combining a large Instrument (Synchrotron) with a small Instrument (single atomic tip).
