The open source project I work on for the longest time is KDE and there more specific Kate. This means I look at user bug reports for over 20 years now. The statistics tell me our team got more than 9000 bugs since around 2001 (just for Kate, this excludes the libraries like KTextEditor that we maintain, too).

    Just saw Kate update for me on my windows machine today. New welcome screen and some pretty significant UI updates. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks, we still need more people to make Kate (and other KDE parts) work even better on Windows!

        I’ve got it on my three windows machines – all of them required for various work tasks where Linux doesn’t make sense. Been using it in that context since circa 2012 when you still had to install it with the KDE on Windows installer. I was actually surprised to see an automated update on windows. Very nice!

        I don’t have time to work on KDE anymore, but perhaps drop me a current donation link?

    Kate is a great project and a leader in that space IMO. It goes from strength to strength. You guys rock.

      I still think we have a lot of rough edges on non X11/Wayland Unices, but great to see our work is appreciated.

        Well, there’s no danger of me using Windows but its good you are pushing to expand the footprint of Kate. It has to be a thankless job on that side.

    @cullmann

    #Kate is great. We at #RKWard are happy to have it as foundation. Thomas officially published RKWard around 2002. Keep up the good work.
